Crohn's Disease - ING Miami Half Marathon Updae

Although the CCFA website invited me to sign up and implied there would be a Central Florida group there doesn't seem to be. I was excited to sign up for this half-marathon, and asked for more info over a week ago. Today I got an email informing me of meetings in Boca and Miami...nothing in Central Florida. In fact, no one ever got back to me. Anyways, unless someone local wants to train and contacts me in the next couple of days....I think I am out.

You sound like you're in great shape; how long have you been training for your marathon?

I applaud your efforts & wish you lots of success in reaching your marathon & fitness goals!

Hi Scott,

I stumbled across your site tonight in the hopes of finding someone out there who has Crohn's and has done, or is training for a marathon as I am. I've done 2 half marathons (one being San Antonio on the CCF team), and a sprint triathlon. My first marathon is in 3wks and I'm so frustrated and tired of feeling like crap. I'm in great shape and am running with experienced marathoners, but just incredibly frustrated with my body.

Any empathy/helpful hints you can offer would be greatly apprecated! What have you found that is a good fuel for you on the long runs?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Kate
